SIZE is provided by datatex to activate the size handling capabilities of specific datatex textile software modules which otherwise run normally in situation where size is not a production variable.
The SIZE module can determine a bill of materials, is equipped with a two-dimensional size matrix (e.g. inseam and waist), controls technical specs by different item sizes (e.g. collar, cuff, waste), controls size by type, differentiating among Man, Woman and Children sizes as well as distinguishing among definable ranges (e.g. American, European, UK etc…)
SIZE enables other standard modules to carry out the following functions: COPS can process orders with a two-dimensional size matrix, DISPO can determine material availability and requirement by size as well as color, variant and article thanks to the size matrix,SOS has various options for controlling material purchases by size as well as color, MASH controls warehouse management taking size into consideration (quantity and value), MAIS can handle costing by size (XS, S, M, L, XL). Bills of material can be defined by size, by determining variance from standard in absolute or percentage values.
